Premature Countdown

I believe overpriced food on New Year's Eve is just too overrated. So I decided to have 2010 premature countdown one day before. We went to ZENSE Restaurant & Bar on level 17 of Zen World. The food was so so, the view was so so. I guess it matter most by who you're spending the time with, not the where and the when.

Struck me a bit though to think that I work on 25th floor everyday, why should I be excited about seeing views from 17th floor restaurant.

Wedding Gift

For my colleague's wedding today, I decided that giving money in an envelop is just too plain and boring. Instead, I put coins with the same amount that I would put in the envelop in piggy-bank and give it as a gift. I hope she approach with the old fashion and break it with hammer or something. It is much more fun than open the lid at the bottom and yank out the coins.

Larn-Ta-Lay

My dear friend is open up a Seafood place, Larn-Ta-Lay. The restaurant is small, locates around Sanambin Nam intersection area. My gang went there for support today (a bit hoping for on-the-house food ^__^). If you are looking for fresh flavorsome seafood with reasonable price, be sure to stop by.

Love Lock

Love Lock is very popular in Japan, China, as well as Korea. Couples put a lock on the fence, throw away the key, and wish they will never separate. Such a creative and romantic tradition that I always want to try.

This is from a fence at N-Tower in Seoul. Can you guess which one is mine?

Tomato Masking

Feel like I am getting old now and I think it is time that I should take care of my health as well as my body a little more. Skin care products in Korea are amazingly cheap (cheaper than in my country). I got a few hand creams and this Tomato Brightening Mask from Tony Moly. Let see if I can find time and courage to use it.

Ice Skate

The new Esplanade Rattanathibeth had just open. Me and my gang leave no time for hesitation to go check it out. The place was more similar to Major Cineplex rather than its brother on Ratchadapisek Road. I got to try the new Ice Skating place on the top floor too. I was very rusty because it's been a while for me. It was fun, nonetheless.

Bye Bye BR31

Every good thing must come to an end. On upcoming Dec 14th, every Baskin Robin Store in Thailand will be close for good. I’ve been buying couple of quarts from them every week for the last three month or so. Currently there is only one branch left, which is at Central World as seen in the picture.

Banana_Milk

I was told that this beverage is very popular in Korea and that it’s a must to try. There are many brands in the market but Banana Milk in the picture was very well known in the area and easiest to find. Quite tasty but I feel that it is nothing more than sweet milk with a scent of banana, hence the name.

Omlet

Isn't that cute? I didn't think I would see Thai omlet with such variety. It taste so so but the look got me at 'Hello'. This dish is from Krua Upsorn Restaurant.

New Wallet

I decided to treat myself with a little accessory on this Korea trip. Bottega Veneta is one of my dream wishlist due to its classic & allegiance design and the price tag that could blind you.

Korea Trip 2009

Vacation plan this year was to visit sparkling Korea. I finally get to wear those winter jackets that lay in my closet for ages 'cause the weather was 3 degree Celsius. The plan was simple, try the food, do the shopping, and visit their attractions. It was lucky for me that it was close to Christmas time so we starting to see some beautiful Christmas decoration everywhere.
I've learned that Korea is a country with such a sad history but a very bright future. Korean product is gaining popularity in Thailand right now especially cosmetic and appliance. Shopping was a thrill!!
I must say that the food was really good. I was never really fond of Korea food until I tasted the authentic.
I probably won't go back again any time soon but I totally recommend anyone to have a visit at least once. The food alone is well worth it.
